Why the Distribution Manager Role Exists

Zibuke OnCall collects broken appliances from customers. We repair them at our workshop. We deliver them back on time. This is the promise we make to every customer.

The Distribution Manager protects that promise. Without good route planning, customers wait too long. Without good driver leadership, appliances are damaged or lost. Without accountability, the service falls apart.

This role exists because distribution is not just moving boxes. It is the last impression a customer has of Zibuke OnCall. If the delivery is late, the customer loses trust. If the collection is careless, the customer feels uncared for. The Distribution Manager makes sure none of that happens.

You will manage up to 30 drivers. You will plan their routes. You will track their progress. You will support them when things go wrong. You will hold them accountable when they do not do the work. And you will be held to the same standard.

What You Will Do

Every day, you will plan, monitor, and support the distribution team. Your work keeps appliances moving and customers informed.

Who Should Apply

This role is for someone who takes responsibility seriously. You do not wait to be told what to do. You see a problem and you solve it. You understand that customers are waiting and that every delayed delivery affects a family.

You should apply if:

We do not require specific qualifications for this role. We require proof that you can do the work. You will complete an accountability assessment before appointment. This assessment proves you understand distribution, customer service, and responsibility.

Salary and Bonus

Base Salary

The Distribution Manager earns a base salary of R12 000 per month. This is paid every month regardless of team performance. It is your guaranteed income.

Monthly Performance Bonus

You can earn a monthly performance bonus based on how well your drivers perform. The bonus is not guaranteed. It is earned through measurable results.

How the Monthly Bonus Works

1
Each driver must complete more than 90 deliveries in the month to count as a qualifying driver.
2
A driver who completes 90 deliveries or fewer does not count as a qualifying driver.
3
At least 18 drivers managed by you must qualify in the same month before any monthly performance bonus is paid.
4
If fewer than 18 drivers qualify, the monthly performance bonus is R0.
5
If 18 or more drivers qualify, you earn R120 for each qualifying driver.
6
Formula: Qualifying drivers multiplied by R120.

Bonus Examples

Example 1: If 18 drivers each complete more than 90 deliveries, the bonus is 18 multiplied by R120. The bonus is R2 160.
Example 2: If 22 drivers each complete more than 90 deliveries, the bonus is 22 multiplied by R120. The bonus is R2 640.
Example 3: If 17 drivers each complete more than 90 deliveries, the bonus is R0 because the 18 driver threshold was not reached.

Accountability Bar Score

The Distribution Manager earns accountability bar scores based on the number of qualifying drivers. One qualifying driver means one driver who completed more than 90 deliveries in the month.

How Accountability Bars Are Calculated

1
You earn 1 accountability bar score for every 3 qualifying drivers.
2
Formula: Qualifying drivers divided by 3, rounded down to the nearest whole number.

Accountability Bar Examples

Example 1: If 18 drivers qualify, you earn 18 divided by 3 = 6 accountability bar scores.
Example 2: If 19 drivers qualify, you earn 19 divided by 3 = 6.33, rounded down to 6 accountability bar scores.
Example 3: If 21 drivers qualify, you earn 21 divided by 3 = 7 accountability bar scores.

Annual Bonus

The annual bonus is calculated by multiplying the set annual amount per accountability bar by the total number of accountability bars you earned in the year. The set annual amount is defined by Zibuke OnCall payroll settings.

Your accountability bar scores accumulate throughout the year. The more qualifying drivers you have each month, the more bars you earn, and the larger your annual bonus.

Assessment and Appointment

Before you are appointed as a Distribution Manager, you must complete and pass the same accountability assessment used for drivers. This assessment requires you to complete 70 jobs (collections and deliveries on time) within the assessment period.

This assessment protects customers, drivers, and the company. It proves that you understand the work your drivers do. It proves that you can plan routes that work. It proves that you take responsibility seriously.

If you have not passed the assessment, you are not eligible for appointment. This is not negotiable. Every Distribution Manager at Zibuke OnCall has passed the same assessment as every driver.

The assessment is fair. It is clear. It measures real work. If you do the work, you pass. If you do not do the work, you do not pass. There is no interview that replaces this proof.

The Distribution Portal

You will use a distribution portal built for managers and drivers. The portal makes your work clearer, simpler, and more accountable.

Why This Role Matters

When a customer gives us their broken washing machine, they are trusting us with something important. Their family depends on that machine. They are paying money they worked hard for. They are expecting us to fix it and bring it back on time.

The Distribution Manager is the person who makes sure that promise is kept. You plan the route that gets the driver to the customer on time. You make sure the driver calls the customer before arriving. You track the delivery so it does not get lost in the system.

If a driver is late, you know about it. If a customer is not answering, you make sure someone follows up. If an address is wrong, you help the driver find the right one. If a route is too long, you plan a better one.

This is not just logistics. This is trust. Every on time delivery is a customer who believes in Zibuke OnCall. Every late delivery is a customer who might not come back. You make the difference.

Drivers need leadership. They need someone who plans routes that work. They need someone who supports them when a customer is difficult. They need someone who holds them accountable when they do not do the work. You are that person.

How Accountability Works at Zibuke OnCall

Accountability at Zibuke OnCall is not punishment. It is clarity.

It means every person knows what is expected. Every person has the tools to do the work. Every person is measured on results, not politics. Every person is treated fairly.

When you plan a route, the portal records it. When a driver completes a stop, the portal tracks it. When a customer is called, the portal logs it. When a delivery is late, the portal shows it.

This is not about watching people. It is about making sure the work is done right. It is about giving you the information you need to lead your team. It is about making sure customers get what they were promised.

If your drivers perform well, you are rewarded. If your drivers struggle, you are supported. If there is a problem, you are expected to solve it. If you need help, you are expected to ask for it.

Accountability is the foundation of everything we do. It is why customers trust us. It is why employees stay. It is why the company grows.

Driver Accountability

Every driver you manage must follow the same accountability standards. This is how the distribution team stays strong.

As the Distribution Manager, you are responsible for making sure your drivers meet these standards. You support them when they struggle. You hold them accountable when they do not do the work.
